When you are in your academic pursuit phase of life, you might find yourself making the Honor Roll or, perhaps, the Dean’s List. This gives you the recognition that you have made good grades in school and deserve to be lifted up for them. Essentially, you deserve to be honored. When you find yourself in pursuit of Jesus, what becomes worthy of honor takes a bit of a shift. It is no longer about being head of the class; it is about serving the class. Honor in the name of the cross is not about being the best; it is about giving your best to serve even the least of these. Upside down, inside out, and backwards is the way to be counted among the greatest in the kingdom of God.
