The term “inalienable rights” can be found on the Declaration of Independence. It means rights that cannot be given away or taken away. These rights can come under attack, but the morality of them and justice for them demands we challenge the attack and not let the offense against such rights stand. Liberty is one of those inalienable rights. This is the state of being free. Yet with so much that fights for a piece of us, how is one truly free? It is a beautiful thing when the work of humanity and work of God come together to truly set people free. Is this the work we are about?
