When we think about love, we often think about the strongest type of love as being between a parent and a child or two people who have said, “I do.” Those are both valid and very real forms of love in our lives, but they are not the love that is spoken about when we refer to love as a fruit of the Spirit. Those are types of love that anyone can experience. However, the love that comes from walking with the Spirit is a deeper love that goes beyond the boundaries and expectations of a human relationship. This type of love is one that does not seek benefit or count the cost but gives and does so in such a way that it manifests the power of Christ among us.
