With all authority in heaven and earth, with the glory and affirmation of God upon him, the angels on standby to care for him, you would think Jesus didn’t need to be surrounded by other people.
The journey Jesus was about to begin was going to take him to the depth of hell and up to the gates of heaven. A little extra preparation was necessary.

It is hard for us to understand the exact nature of the relationship between God and Jesus. In our search to understand, we easily loose sight of the fact that Jesus is fully human. He is not partially human but fully! He is fully God too, but maybe even more human than you and I.
Jesus is not just a name or a story, but an action, a verb, a vibe… an entire way of life. Let me introduce you to Jesus.
Some of the most encouraging words you can hear in scripture are, “and it came to pass.” The promises that God has made continue to stand thousands of years later. And it came to pass, God is still good, and God’s words are still true!
